What is immuno-oncology?

Immuno-oncology is the use of an immune-modulating agent to resolve or reverse a disease state involving cancer. Of the many modalities of immunotherapy, there is no one best suited to treat all cancer types. Instead, immuno-oncology makes use of the variety of formats of immune-modulating agents, tailoring the dosing and delivery to the unique aspects of any given cancer patient’s disease. Currently, cell-based immuno-oncology therapies are gaining traction in patient care.
